September 2026 Yard of the Month525 West 18th Street
This garden is a wonderful blend of flowers and trees and sun and shade. Carolyn and Phillip purchased the home in 2017 and began a restoration of house and garden. They kept many of the beautiful trees including a towering old Loblolly pine in the far corner of the backyard. They also kept and expanded a large bed of Amaryllis that the prior owner brought from their grandmother’s Corpus Christi home. In the front they added a pollinator garden and planted a Nuttall Oak and Chinese Fringe tree.
