Designing, building, and nurturing my garden offers a profound sense of therapy, not to mention joy. My garden and the gardens I create provide quiet sanctuaries where the relentless noise of daily life fades away! Digging in the soil, deadheading flowers to encourage new growth, and watching a small seed transform into a vibrant plant (zinnias are a favorite) anchor my mind firmly in the present moment. For me, it's a natural stress reliever, and who doesn't need it right now?
One final thought. Tending to a garden becomes a mirror for self-care where the patience, love, and attention one pours into the earth directly restore and heal one's own spirit. In a nutshell, nothing else even comes close. Happy gardening, and stop by and see the zinnias, which we planted by seed in March and have been getting more beautiful with each passing day.
