April Yard of the Month – 1139 Waverly

Longtime residents Tracye and David have spent more than 35 years shaping their garden at 1139 Waverly. In the front yard, they’ve built a wonderful mix of succulents and cactus, all tucked under the shade of a Water Oak they planted together 20 years ago. Tracye’s sculptures are placed throughout, giving the space her personal touch.

In the side yard, David makes the most of the full sun. He grows a little bit of everything—tomatoes, parsley, cilantro, kale, chard, collards, okra, eggplant, green beans, tangerines, and lemons. It’s the kind of garden that feels lived-in, loved, and evolving.
