Since its creation in 1996, Donovan Park has been a treasured gathering place for the Houston Heights community. This year, you are invited to join us “All Aboard” so generations to come can continue to play, imagine, and dream together at Donovan.
Donations over $1,000 will receive name recognition at the park. This is a perfect way to honor someone special or surprise someone who loves the park.
Houston Heights Association is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that owns and maintains Donovan Park through volunteers and donations.
Reimagine Donovan Park will take place in two phases.
Phase 1: Laying the Groundwork
This phase focuses on essential planning and community input to guide the park’s transformation:
- Feasibility studies for long-term sustainability
- Community engagement to ensure diverse voices are heard
- Conceptual design based on shared vision
- Cost estimation for constructing Donovan Park
Phase 2: Turning Vision Into Reality
With a detailed master plan in place, we will launch a major fundraising campaign to bring the vision for Donovan Park to life. This phase focuses on securing funding and constructing a revitalized park that meets the evolving needs of our community. Together, we will unveil a renewed Donovan Park — a vibrant, inclusive destination to gather, play, and connect for generations to come.
