The first weekend of June used to be reserved for our wildly popular Fun Run, while our Bike Rally & Scavenger Hunt took place in October. In the last few years, we’ve come to our senses that June is a tad too hot to be huddled en masse before running as fast as you can up and down Heights Boulevard. With that, the first weekend of our first Summer months has now been designated as our annual Bike Rally & Scavenger Hunt. While the pandemic did play a role in this move, since the Bike Rally was a socially distanced outdoor activity we could hold in the Spring of 2020, we are rolling with the switch for the foreseeable future.
This year’s 17th Annual Bike Rally & Scavenger Hunt was another roaring success thanks to the efforts of Event Chair Kristen Drake with the support of a mighty committee and Fundraising Chair Kinzie Verdell. Our final number of registered participants was 222, which not only amounts to family fun had by hundreds of our fellow neighbors, but just as importantly funds raised through registration fees for the HHA’s nonprofit programs and maintenance of our parks and properties. We appreciate each and every participant’s support.
