Last Saturday’s 33rd Annual Heights Fun Run was another fantastic morning full of family fun for 1852 runners and walkers from within and outside of the neighborhood, including the adorable Kids 1K participants. The beloved tradition raised over $48,000 toward HHA programs and property management, including maintenance of some of the very landmarks that formed the backdrop for the relatively cool morning run like Marmion Park. The USA Track & Field-certified 5K and 10K courses have gained regional and national renown as the place to set personal records, bringing runners from as far as Baltimore, Chicago, Chertsey, England, and Ulm, Germany this year!

As with all of the Association’s great events throughout the year, it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of gracious volunteers. Many, many thanks to Rich Anhorn, Donna Bennett, Kevin Chenevert, Marc Elliott, Stasi Ogier, Danae Stephenson, Carol Welter, and Heather Williams, along with countless other neighbors. Sponsors Boulevard Realty, Memorial Hermann Greater Heights, and Katz Coffee were all on hand to show support. Finally, all the glory for the Fun Run goes once again to indefatigable Chair Damian Ogier, whose passion for the family-friendly community experience was evident in every perfectly executed detail.
