She embraced a trial-and-error approach, experimenting with various plants to observe their performance in her yard and moving them as needed. 1445 Cortlandt Teran Smith, John Caffey, and our children have lived at 1445 Cortlandt since 2010. We were fortunate to inherit good “bones” in our front yard. Art Shirer – WISH -- 600 block Art Shirer has produced welded steel sculpture for more than four decades and is known for his kinetic forms and ephemeral site-specific installations. May 2024 Garden of the Month

The Patrick and Murphy Garden Kathy Patrick and Arthur Murphy focus their garden at 615 E 16 th Street on two things they love: sustainable, edible landscaping and roses. The lot beside their house has eight raised bed “farm” boxes where they rotate seasonal “crops” of beans, greens, herbs, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and melons.
