Our September General Meeting is all about the fun of learning local, with great info for parents on schooling options in and around the Heights plus a Kid’s Krafts Imagination Station to keep the little ones entertained. Tomorrow Houston Heights Association Education Committee Co-Chairs Barrett Killian and Emily Guyre host our popular annual Heights School Choice Fair at the Fire Station.

You can learn all about the incredible opportunities for students, plus how parents can be involved, from a diverse set of teachers, principals and education representatives. Participating Schools are: Travis ES, Harvard ES, Helms ES, Crockett ES, Hogg MS, Hamilton MS, Heights HS, Love ES, Lutheran North, St. Pius, St. Thomas, St. Theresa’s, St. Francis’s, and Fay School. Join neighbors and friends as we learn about over a dozen Heights-area schools!

This month’s meeting is also of particular importance, as it’s time for HHA Board Nominations. We are accepting nominations for five open positions on the Board of Directors, all for 3 year terms. Any HHA Member in good standing is eligible to nominate any other Member for one of these open seats at tomorrow’s meeting!

As always, we’ll kick off the evening and open the doors at 6:30 PM by mixing and mingling with our neighbors, featured guests, and HHA committees working on exciting “fun-raisers” and more over light refreshments. The meeting and program begin at 7 PM with a welcome from HHA President Jason Starr. Don’t miss our September Community Meeting! They always make for a fun family outing and a great way to meet the neighbors.
