Congratulations to our May Yard of the Month: Laura Clawson at 1407 Herkimer

Laura Clawson loves to work in the yard…wherever she is! 

She grew up helping her parents work in the yard every weekend while her friends were watching Saturday cartoons. Laura enjoys seeing the results of a well-manicured lawn and blooming flowers. But in order to achieve that, she knows you must wait for the growth. 

The process of watching things grow is more fulfilling to her than the mature garden. 

Laura’s friend Tom, owner of Strong Landscaping, helped them achieve their vision for their garden in the Heights. It has been a huge source of enjoyment for Laura to tend to the constantly blooming roses such as Peggy Martin, the ornamental cabbages, snap dragons, rosemary, dianthus and wild blackberries. Out front they enjoy their Bald Cypress, Drummond Maple, Mexican Oak and down the side of the property for privacy are Magnolia trees.
