823 Peddie Street

1926 Craftsmen Bungalow
Owners Brett & Renee Zamore

“Modern Comfort” would be a good description. We love the historic charm of the bungalows in the Heights and adding a modern sense of simplicity to the interiors. We have maintained the historic exterior character of the bungalow with a modern addition at the back.

We’ve always laughed saying that it’s business in the front and a party in the back. The house has a quintessential Heights Bungalow look from the front, but it’s very modern and minimal on the inside and tropical in the back.

Owners Katie & Mike Beirne

We tried to design the style and floorplan to what the original home would have been, while adding a vibrant and artistic touch of color and style. We really love a mix of old and new!

1920 American Bungalow
Owners Jeff & Rachel Spalding

Our house is a remodeled bungalow with a modern flair. Our interior design style is a mid-century modern focus, with eclectic accents. We like to emphasize natural light and connect the indoor spaces to the outdoors. We prefer smaller homes that efficiently use space and don’t occupy an entire lot.

Owners Kate & Adrian Wong

Organic warm modern style. Our home is inspired by our love of the natural world, our roots in the Hill Country, California, Colorado and West Texas as well as my background as a marine biologist. I am drawn to textures, patterns and colors found in organic forms. I wanted our home to be soulful and bring the outdoors in. The entire design was driven by the desire to create a u-shaped layout that would focus on and utilize as much green space as possible. Our home sits in harmony with the natural surroundings. Our back porch faces west to allow for the most natural light to flow into our main living spaces and primary bedroom. We consider ourselves lucky to live in our own piece of art.

1303 Cortlandt

1919 Prairie Style

The current owners’, immigrants from Kenya and India, created a warm family space influenced by Vastu Shastra (the ancient Indian system of architecture), their travels around the world and love of India and Bali. The 1919 home was originally built by a Swedish immigrant owner/architect on a lot owned solely by his wife, a rarity in that time. Over time the house evolved: a large addition in the back, a garage apartment, a third lot and a second garage and pool were added to create the space that welcomes family and friends today.
