Proceeds from membership dues, sponsorships, donations, and fundraising events go directly into the community \u2014 for beautification, restoration, and maintenance of Heights Boulevard, Marmion and Donovan parks, and the Historic Houston Heights Fire Station.\r\n <\/p>\r\n <p style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.75;color:#5E6770;\">\r\n The HHA is also the driving force behind the neighborhood's ongoing revitalization, addressing community needs including deed restrictions, crime prevention through the Constable Patrol Program, and land use advocacy to protect the character of the Heights.\r\n <\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <div>\r\n <p class=\"eyebrow\" style=\"margin-bottom:16px;\">Our Vision<\/p>\r\n <div style=\"background:#F5EFE3;border-left:3px solid #C7A14A;padding:28px 32px;border-radius:0 8px 8px 0;margin-bottom:32px;\">\r\n <p style=\"font-family:'Newsreader',serif;font-size:18px;font-style:italic;line-height:1.65;color:#5E6770;\">\r\n \"For the Houston Heights to be recognized as a diverse, small town community in the heart of Houston, where neighbors and businesses thrive, children learn and play, and history lives.\"\r\n <\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <p style=\"font-size:16px;line-height:1.75;color:#5E6770;\">\r\n The HHA is governed by a volunteer board of directors elected annually by the membership.
