Houston Heights · Est. 1996
Since its creation in 1996, Donovan Park has been a treasured gathering place for the Houston Heights community — and a destination for families across Houston. More than just a playground, it's a space where imaginations soar, milestones are celebrated, and quiet moments are enjoyed.
Whether climbing, reading under a shady tree, or hosting a birthday picnic, visitors of all ages find something special at Donovan Park. It continues to serve as a welcoming, vibrant place where memories are made and community thrives.

The Campaign
Reimagine Donovan is a dedicated committee of the Houston Heights Association (HHA), committed to raising the funds necessary to rebuild and revitalize Donovan Park. Our mission is to work closely with the community to ensure the park remains a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant space for generations to come.
As a privately owned park, Donovan Park does not receive funding from the City of Houston. All maintenance and renovation efforts are the sole financial responsibility of the HHA, which relies entirely on support from the community.
Together, we can build a park that reflects the heart of the Houston Heights.

Our Plan
This phase focuses on essential planning and community input to guide the park's transformation:
With a detailed master plan in place, we will launch a major fundraising campaign to bring the vision for Donovan Park to life. This phase focuses on securing funding to construct a revitalized park that meets the evolving needs of our community.
Once funding is secured, construction will begin, transforming the space into a vibrant, inclusive destination for neighbors of all ages and abilities.
Together, we will unveil a renewed Donovan Park — a place to gather, play, and connect for generations to come.
